Certified Ceramic Coating Installers in Arvada

Add long-term protection and gloss to your paint after our paint correction services

What is a Ceramic Coating?

Ceramic coating technology has been around since the 1950s, but it is a somewhat new product to the car detailing world. From the time automobiles started being produced until the early 2000s, paste wax was the only way to enhance your car's shine and protect the paint from outside elements. The drawback to this is that most waxes only last about 4-6 months and have to be applied a few times a year to keep your car looking new.

This is where ceramic coating technology comes in to provide your vehicle with a much longer-lasting form of protection. There are many different forms of ceramic coating ranging from 9 months of protection all the way to 10 years. At Eminent Auto Detailing we offer a 12-18 month coating, 2-3 year coating, 6 year coating, and 10 year coating depending on your preferences and budget.

We typically only apply long-term ceramic coatings after doing our  2-step paint protection service to ensure that we are not locking in swirls and scratches in the paint. We also want to make sure we have properly prepped the surface beforehand, so the coating adheres to the paint properly and lasts as long as possible. Ceramic coatings shouldn't be applied in sunlight or when the weather is too hot or cold. This is why we do all of our coating jobs at our shop location so we have as much control over the environment as possible.

Why Should I Have Eminent Auto Detailing Ceramic Coat My Vehicle?

Eminent Auto Detailing is a certified installer of System X Ceramic Coatings. This allows us to order and install some of the best ceramic coating products in the industry. These coatings are only able to be purchased by certified installers, so it is not something you can purchase and install yourself. Some of the benefits of these coatings include:

  • Lifetime Warranty:

    • All long-term System X coatings have a lifetime warranty. This warranty is through System X (not Eminent Auto Detailing) meaning that if you move to another state or we go out of business, you will still have an active warranty. All you have to do to keep your warranty active is get a topcoat applied once per year.

  • Carfax registration and door jamb sticker:

    • System X is one of the few ceramic coatings that registers to your vehicle’s Carfax. Each coating also comes with a door jamb sticker to show that it is protected with a System X coating.

  • Unmatched hydrophobic properties:

    • After being in the auto detailing industry for several years and seeing/applying many different brands of ceramic coatings, we can confidently say that System X is more hydrophobic than any other coating we have seen. This not only makes your vehicle extremely easy to wash, but it also keeps it clean for longer.

  • Easy Maintenance:

    • Most ceramic coating companies simply claim their coating will last for 9+ years with no maintenance. This could not be further from the truth, especially if the vehicle spends a lot of time outside in the sun. The reality is that no coating is going to last longer than a couple of years without maintenance. This is why System X has an easy maintenance schedule to ensure your coating lasts as long as possible. Once per year your coating will need a topcoat applied to it. This can be done by us or any System X certified installer. Even if you move out of state, you can still have your coating maintained by an installer near you.

Common Misconceptions About Ceramic Coatings

While ceramic coatings are the best form of protection you can apply to your vehicle, aside from PPF, people make some pretty outrageous claims about ceramic coatings that aren't true.

  • Ceramic Coatings Don't Prevent Rock Chips: The impact of a small rock being flung at your vehicle while moving at high speeds is not something that any kind of wax, sealant, or ceramic coating is going to be able to stop.

  • Your Paint Will Not Become "Scratch-Proof": After the application of a ceramic coating, you still need to use a safe wash method when cleaning your car to prevent swirls and scratches.

  • Ceramic Coatings Do Require Maintenance: For the ceramic coating to last as long as possible, it will need to have a ceramic booster occasionally applied to maintain the coating.

Ceramic Coating FAQs

Do you have a shop?

Yes, we have a shop location in Arvada where customers can drop off their vehicles to be serviced. The address is 5435 W 59th Ave and we are in unit M.

Can a ceramic coating replace my clear coat?

If you notice that your clear coat is starting to peel and crack from being exposed to the sun, this is not something a ceramic coating will be able to fix or replace.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes we do require a deposit for all of our services. The deposit amount could range from $25-$100 depending on the time the service blocks off in our schedule and the cost of product needed to be purchased. Click here to read more about our deposit policy.

Can I get the ceramic coating applied without prep/paint correction?

On 95% of cars, we recommend doing a 2-step paint correction service beforehand. Without the proper prep, the coating will be locking in swirls and scratches and also will not last as long as it should. The only time we will apply a coating without doing a correction is if the vehicle is brand new and has no scratches or swirls in the paint (even some new cars come from the dealership heavily swirled).

How long should I wait to wash my car?

To ensure the coating fully cures to the paint, the car shouldn't get wet for 4 hours and you should wait at least 3 days before washing the car.
