Appointment Deposit and Cancellation Policy
Our Appointment Deposit Policy
As of October 2023, Eminent Auto Detailing will be requiring deposits on all appointments to book in our calendar.
Please note that when you book an appointment with us, we are reserving time in our schedule exclusively for you. While we didn't want to require customers to put down an upfront deposit, unfortunately, we have been left with no choice after seeing a major increase in no-shows and last-minute cancellations. For a small business like ours, this problem has caused us to waste a lot of our time and money accommodating "customers" who don't show up.
Based on the total price of your services, appointment deposits will be $25, $50, or $100. This is a non-refundable deposit. The bullet points below go into more detail on specific situations:

What happens if I cancel my appointment?

Your deposit will not be refunded.

Can I reschedule my appointment?

You are allowed to reschedule if it is done more than 24 hours prior to your original appointment time.

Can I book a new appointment after a cancellation/last-minute reschedule?

Yes, but you will be required to place a new deposit.

What if there is bad weather?

If there is snow or rain on the day of your detail, we understand if you want to reschedule. In this instance, you will not lose your deposit if you reschedule less than 24 hours prior to your appointment.

Is the deposit an extra fee?

No, the deposit will be applied towards the cost of the detail. For example, if the price of the detail is $300 and you placed a $50 deposit, you will only pay $250 at checkout.

Why do I have to pay a deposit?

We've seen an increase in no-shows and last-minute cancellations/reschedules that have caused a lot of problems for our business. Unfortunately, we have to require a deposit to make sure that the people who are booking appointments are serious about working with us (we appreciate the ones who are!).
