It may sound strange to prepare/clean your vehicle before getting it detailed, but there are some easy things that you can do beforehand to get a more thorough service done on your car at a lower price.
Interior Preparation
At the very least, we prefer our customers to remove all personal items from their interior before the detailing service to make it easier for us to get started. Additionally, it is better for you to go through your own stuff because it can sometimes be hard for us to determine what you want to be thrown away and what you want to keep.
If you want to take your interior preparation a step further, you can do your best to clean it yourself before we show up. Obviously, this is not required and we will happily clean your car if you don't clean it beforehand, but there are some benefits to doing so. One benefit is it gives us more time to focus on the critical parts of the interior that you couldn't get clean on your own. It also cuts down on the overall time it takes us to complete the service which will result in us not charging you as much.
Exterior Preparation
On the exterior of the vehicle, there isn't as much preparation needed. If you only drive your car in the city and don't frequently drive on dirt roads, there isn't any preparation needed before getting your car detailed. The main things that slow us down on the exterior are dirt from gravel roads and bugs from long road trips. If your car is dirty from either of these, it may be worth it to try washing your car on your own beforehand to save a little money on the service. Again, this is not required and we will clean the exterior of your vehicle regardless of the condition when we arrive, but it could save you some money.
